In Spiny Events’ we have three important parts: Dashboard, Backstage, and Customizer. Whether you’re setting up your first event or updating an existing one, understand them would be very helpful.
1. Event Dashboard
The Dashboard is the central hub where you can access and manage all your events. It provides an overview of your event listings, making it easy to navigate between multiple events.
Steps to Access the Dashboard:
- Log in to your Spiny Events account.
- After logging in, you’ll be taken to the Dashboard, where all your events are listed. If you have not created event yet then you will be taken to the Event Creation Form.
- 3. If you have created only one event, you will see that event displayed here.
- 4. Click on your event to enter its Backstage, where you can manage all its details.
2. Backstage
The Backstage is the content management area where you can update, edit, and manage all aspects of your event. Unlike traditional event management tools, Spiny Events provides a simple, plugin-free system to keep everything organized.
Steps to Access Backstage:
- From the Dashboard, click on the event you want to manage.
- You will be taken to the Backstage at the selected event.
- Here, you can update and manage all event-related information, including:
- On the left, you will see the list of links: Event Information, Speakers, Tracks, Sponsors, Organizers, Posts, Pages and Domain Setting.
- On the top, you will see the option to Switch to another event if you have multiple events.
- You can also use the link “Visit Website” to view your event website.
- In the navigation bar you will see a toggle switch [Backstage | Customizer]. This is a navigation that will take you to our customizer.
3. Customizer
The Customizer is where you can control the visual appearance and static content of your event website. This includes updating hero text, section, title, navigation, footer, colors, fonts, layouts, and more.
Steps to Access the Customizer:
- The Customizer will open with a live preview of your event website.
- On the right-hand side, you will see editable text and elements.
- Click on any text to edit it—changes will be instantly reflected on the website preview.
- On the bottom, you will see a toolbar that you can use to customize the appearance to match your brand.
- If you want to Modify Layouts & Sections: You can use our Design Shuffler tool through which you will get variations for each section to find the best fit.
Once satisfied with your edits, click Save to apply the changes to your live website.
